If your head unit has an amp gain, turn it up as high as it will go. If it is hooked up to subs, the head unit will say subwoofer output in the menu. Then take a small screwdriver and turn the amp gain on the side of your amp counterclockwise to zero. Turn your freq. up to about a third. Crank your system up, with a song with good bass, and slowly turn your gain up till the bass from the subs sound distorted, and back it back down. If the bass is drowning out the other speakers in your car, then turn the gain down some more. I find it works best if you have your trebble up high, your mid range at a little less than half. And your bass at zero or one. Your amp is cranking up the bass, so let your other speakers handle the rest. This allows it to sound clearly at higher volumes.

How do I adjust a quadrajet carburetor?

You can only adjust the two idle screws,
unless your rebuilding it,then the instructions
will show you lots of adjustments

I would install a new float, regardless of how it
work now,as they get saturated & sink

The adjustment is the same as with all carbs

You start at about one turn out on the screws
& end up at about 1 3/4 turns

You try for the highest vacuum reading & then go
in about 1/8th turn

Have the vacuum advance hose of the dist & plugged

After the carb-- recheck your initial spark with the hose
off the dist

Vacuum gauge has to be from a manifold source, not
ported

(below the carb bottom throttle plates)

What all do i need to adjust transmission bands in 2001 dodge dakota

Bands are adjusted when you build a transmission

You do not need to adjust

The amount of band thickness & wear, is so small,
that the trans is shot, long before you have any wear
that needs to be adjusted

If you turn the screw the wrong way, the band falls off at
the ends & you can't reach in there to replace it & the unit
has to come out & apart

You will see no difference if you brought that band down tight
on the drum & then loosened it the correct number of turns

The servo will apply the band & there is no reasons for a delay

Your 2001 is 13 years or more old

If the fluid has not been changed every 2 or 3 years
since new,it is about to expire

Needed torqur spec on rocker arms on 1994 gmc 5.7liter

There is no torque spec for rockers. You tighten until there is no backlash, then preload another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. With #1 at TDC on the compression stroke, you adjust #1 by this procedure. You can also adjust intake valves on #'s 2, 5 & 7 as well as exhaust on 3's 1, 3, 4 & 8. Then rotate the engine until #6 is TDC on compression stroke and adjust intakes on #'s 3. 4. 6 & 8 and exhaust on #'s 2, 5, 6 & 7. Good luck.

How you adjast the bands

Transmission Bands are adjusted when the unit is rebuilt
& need no adjustment, as they wear very little & do not solve
any problems.

The Band is brought down tight on the drum & then backed off to
whatever the book says

When you come here please provide at least a vehicle & some
details

How do you adjust the transmission bands in a 1991 dodge spirit 2.5 turbo with an automatic transmission?

The only one you can adjust is the low reverse band & it is accessed by removing the transmisson pan. You will need a feeler gauge & a wrench to adjust it. You can get the proper adjustment data from Chilton or Haynes manuals. Good luck!
