SOURCE: Electrical problems. Car won't start.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
It can be a disconnected or loosen battery connectors. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you tighten the negative battery connector. Please do check the body ground to the body as well. If possible add more body ground and observe how it goes.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

SOURCE: 2002 ford taurus won't start

Sounds like your not getting any fuel..Listen for the fuel pump,by removing gas cap and put your ear up to it..cycle the key without starting it and listen for the pump..sometimes you can beat on the bottom of the tank and it will jarr the pump and it will start running again..Not a fix but a conformation

SOURCE: When cranking turns over good but won't start

Check for spark. If you have spark, you could have a fuel delivery issue.

SOURCE: 2009 ford mustang with new battery and good alternator but still won't start intermittently

Do you mean it won't start, or won't crank ?
The charging system would not affect starting.

Changed the battery now it won't start

Could be corroded battery terminals/ cables..actually happens all the time.Dumb question but...Is it a new battery?, Is it the proper amount of cold cranking amps? also , i have found that for some reason with cars there is a domino effect when it comes to parts breaking down, with that being has a trouble shooting program to help with starting issues (for future reference of course)...too many reasons for no starts but here is the dumbest....sometimes batteries actually go dead on the shelf before U buy them, especially @ make sure you have the store test it first I f you can't. Hopefully It starts now ,if not please let us know a little more about this.Good Luck

You have a IAC problem (Idle Air Control) This may or may not set off a drivability code you may be able to clean it and restore it the proper way is to remove it and use brake cleaner (This is waht the dealer use) They dont want you to use carburator cleaner it just works temporarycansmo_50.gifcansmo_51.gif

Hello I have a problem with my Pontiac 2002 Trans Am - Collector Edition. It does not want any more to start, there is the indicator SECURTITY which east lights, and since average making it...

Check the battery voltage with a multimeter. If the battery can't deliver a full 12 volts, the starter solenoid won't even activate. It may be that a cell went dead, causing a direct short inside the battery. Replace the battery if your battery is older than 3 years, or take it to an auto parts store to have it tested. The security light on is an issue many people have when the battery is low and the car won't start.

It is also possible that the security chip on the ignition key is worn. If it isn't making contact properly, the computer won't 'read' the resistor, and won't start. You will need to replace the key to see if this fixes the problem.
