Squeaky belt 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Anyone know what a fair price would be to install a new serpentine belt for a 1996 Jeep Cherokee? After the belt was screaming I notice that the battery indicator was only reading between 10-12. Im assuming that since my belt is glazed and old its not providing enough juice from the alt to the battery. Im trying to figure out how much this will cost me and whats fair??

Thanks for the advice! I was going to go to the auto parts store in the morning to get the belt. Im showing prices of about $50 Does that seem right? I just searched online for the year, make & model. Also, you think I should really ask the guys at the parts place if they would install it?

The cost of the belt will be different at each location you go to.
The cost of replacement will be .5 book time,,that is half an hour,,so what ever the shop rate is and whatever their minimum is,,plus the belt

Take the old belt off. Place a piece of string around the pulleys in the correct routing location. The length of the string is the length of the belt you would need.

Trying to find a serpentine belt size with out Ac for a 1997jeep grand cherokee laredo. V8, 5.2L

You're not going to find a serpentine belt for that truck without AC because it didn't exist. They all had AC standard, which means, whether or not you RUN an AC system the compressor has to remain installed since the pulley was part of the serpentine routing.

Must i remove the radiator, the grill, and the fan, in order to change the fan (serpentine) belt on the 1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

Absolutely not.. It will come out by releasing tension on the belt and working it around the pulleys..It's tight but it will come.

The check gauges light will come on anytime the key is in the ON position and the engine is NOT running, so it's NOT a problem related to the gauges when the car shuts down.  This can be verified if the light goes off when the car is running. Filters and pressures will not normally cause problems like you are describing anyways. It sounds like an ignition problem related to the ECM (computer), as I've had similar problems in the past with the same vehicle, this will probably not be something you can fix yourself.
