SOURCE: headlight went out in 2003 ford escape i have

you have to remove the whole headlight assembly, then pop off the front cover pull the old bulb out and put the new one in. reverse the process to re-install. there is a small plastic tab on the topfront of the headlight assembly, that is what you need to release to get the clear cover off and get inside.

SOURCE: 2001 ford escape sometimes it wont start, then

Sounds like an air leak possibly, check all your vaccum lines that go into the intake manifold.

SOURCE: 2003 ford escape +theft light disarming can you

the theft system keeps the car from starting. you likely have a problem with the interlock solenoid (they do fail) thats why the manual release. Use a volt meter to check for voltage withe the key on and your foot on the brake. if 12volts is present, the solenoid is bad.

SOURCE: 2001 Ford Expedition - starts, won't shift out of park, windows n

Check the #15 fuse in fusebox behind marked panel on left lower dash just below and left of steering column. This is only a 5 amp fuse but it controls a lot. This fixed our 2001 Expedition. 25 cents.

My 2003 ford escape stalls when put in park, but not in drive

Does it go into the correct gear if you downshift to 2nd or 1st(shift cable misadjusted)? Could the DTC switch be bad on the side of the tranny? May have to ask Ford to look at it.
I suppose it could be an electrical short at the column,or is it a floor shifter? don-ohio (:^)

Do the brake lights work. If not, it sounds like you have a problem with the brake light switch.

I have a 2003 ford escape with a factory stereo in it. every time i shift out of park the stereo stops working. if i shift back to park it works again. any ideas?

Sound like the shift mechanism is rubbing against a wire or two which is affecting the radio. Do it slowly and see which gear selection makes the radio stop working. After that, you will need diagrams from the web which shows you the dashboard location for wires to fix this problem.

The car wont shift out of park however the mechanic was able to trigger a switch to get it to work and shift. He said it is the nuetral safety switch, is this the same as the range sensor on ford escapes?...

The range sensor will not cause the shifter to not come out of park. Check to see if your brake lamps work. There is a solenoid that is energized when the brakes are applied to allow the shifter to move from park. I would check fuses and the braek switch first before replacing anything. I hope this helps. Good luck.
