SOURCE: 2005 Grand Caravan leaks from blower motor after rain

could be a broken seal or a broken body from the inlet of the air if you use recycle. that is where the water is coming in.

SOURCE: water leaking in blower motor

pull the plastic grate cover off the cowl at heater AC outside air intake at the base of the windshield and check to see that the cowl drains are not plugged with leafs or other debris, this is the common cause, if the drains are clear seal around the cowl air intake with automotive silicone caulking.

SOURCE: heater blower motor just quit working during heavy rain

The rain had nothing to do with it. What ever GM told you was a quess, unless they worked on it. You never change parts until you know their bad. Have to at least know how to test relay, if you do find it. Stop by dealer, they will come out and remove it for free

I have a 2004 Ford Tarus that is leaking water when it rains on the passenger side I know it not the heater gore no smell of. Antifreeze. I changed the windshield and put in a new one. It is coming from...

Pull the blower motor and see if it is wet. If it is than there is a problem with the cowl drain or there is possible a water diverter missing under the cowl on the passenger side. If the blower motor is dry than check the EVAP drain to make sure it is not plugged. The drain will extend through the firewall on the passenger side and will have a rubber 90 elbow on the end of it. You can carefully stick a peice of wire into the opening and see if you can snake out any debris. If a lot of water suddenly come out of the drain you just solved the problem. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Water leak fro dash bored

On the early 2000 model Grand Prix the issue with the water leaking into the passenger floor board is usually the seal that has come off near the blower motor, this seal is easily able to be replaced and is inexpensive right from GM. You can remove you wiper blades and the plastic coweling in front of the widshield then look down inside where the intake is for this blower motor and you should see the seal just laying there or maybe hanging off. The purpose of this seal is to divert rain water that runs down the windshield and into this intake area. Replace this seal and it should take care of the issue.

If this isn't the issue some of these cars had an issue with the windshield not having enough adheasive installed on the lower portion of the windshield and allowing rain water to be driven in between the window and the dash, the water then runs down the firewall behind the dash and corrodes wiring. A friend of mine had this issue on his pontiac and had to had the entire ECM wiring replaced and the window resealed.

98 silverado ac blower only blows on high after it froze up after ice storm /motor or switch bad?

Sounds like the resistor pack on the heater case needs replacing. That's how you get lower motor speeds. Unplug it, remove it, and look for broken wires on the little pack. Some water or ice probably got around it and ruined it, giving you that smell of burning wires. Ice and water must have come through outside air recirculation passage.

Where is the heater blower resistor located?

The resistor pack wires are usually attached to the same wires as the blower motor. I strongly recommend replacing the blower motor at the same time if possible. It's the blower motor that is usually the reason for the resistor pack going out. So if you put just the resistor pack in, and shortly after, it goes out again then you'll know the blower motor needs to be replaced.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

2003 passat sedan. water on floor and in heater fan

I don't think it has anything to do with the sunroof. I think you have a leak either around the windshield or under the cowl where the wipers are attached. If it's in the cowl area probably over the blower motor housing on the right and the water is following the vent system to the drivers side. Please let me know how you made out.

Thank you

Subaru a/c and heater fan doesn't work

You could have a blown fuse, bad relay, bad blower motor resistor pack, or just a bad blower motor. Start with checking your fuse to make sure you have power to you blower motor.
