Yes it will cause it could take out the rings and bearings depending on where the crack is if it is a small one and no gas lines are near it you can check with a place that does welding if there is an exhaust place or muffler man take it by one of these places and see what they can do for you but do not keep driving the car with it cracked

When driving i can smell gas in my 2000 lexus es300

possibly your O rings which isolates fuel injectors from engine block are getting old and letting gasoline go out. it is very dangerous since it can cause fire. do not drive.

another cause is broken loose or cracked fuel lines. this is equally dangerous since it is under hood close to hot exhaust manifold.

if smell is from exhaust manifold, which means not the smeel of gasoline but exhaust fumes, this can be caused by broken exhaust manifold or a crack on it or problematic exhaust manifold gasket.

Honda Civic 2001 LX Modle - it recently consuming high fuel.. it take 25Liter to drive only 50KM

Well in American that's about 5 miles to the gallon. Some
of our military tanks do better. I would take it to Honda
immediately, you may have a fuel leak, or some other
dangerous condition.

1996 jeep cherokee engine dies when pressing on the brakes, checked vaccum lines and cant see a problem.

Try plugging the vacuum hose from the booster to the manifold AT THE MANIFOLD.
DANGER, DANGER, DANGER, Be aware NOT to drive at speed because you will NOT have power assisted brakes but they WILL work to a reduced capacity.Drive VERY slowly on level surface.

This will eliminate air leaks at booster and manifold hose.
Another test is to get someone to hold foot hard on brake pedal with engine running and you listen under bonnet for air leak.

1996 honda civic dx is overheating after long highway drives. Is leaking coolant from top hose as well. Hoping it is that easy of a fix. Thoughts? Thanks for help!

try making sure cooling fans are working by jumping them to the battery and see if they turn on. also could be the thermostat not opening and building up pressure.

My 2000 honda civic engine light on code p1456

Hey I had the same code and I have a 2000 honda civic lx. My cousin works at honda and drives a '96 honda civic and he has had that code before on his car as well.

First thing he came up with was that the catalytic converter was cracked. We checked mines, and lo and behold, that's what it was.

Look under your hood, and there should be a catalytic converter with a sensor sticking out of it. It is connected to the exhaust manifold and the sensor sticks out of the heat shield. Around the sensor, look for a crack. If there's a crack, that's your problem.

there isn't a 1.4L in a 96 civic. only a 1.5 and a 1.6L. all you need to actually fit it to the car is a turbo exhaust manifold but i would suggest buying a complete turbo kit. a kit will come with everything needed to turbo the car.
