Question about 1995 Mazda 626

1 Answer

Nylon bushing failure, 1995 Mazda 626 wiper linkage

To your knowledge, is this nylon bushing available aftermarket? Mazda sells only a replacement link arm with new bushings, a financial uppercut to the jaw.

I've looked everywhere! In fact looking to fix this right now and just lost all hope. I guess I'll have to start looking for an arm with linkage included.

    Last ditch effort.... salvage yards!

I recommend new but a breakers yard will be alot cheaper, the bush is only available with the linkage.

Manual or automatic? Both have bushings. Automatics, you may have a hard time finding them.

everyone will tell you that the linkage/transmission will need to be replaced but it doesn't,,most of the time its a bushing and O'Rielly's auto parts sells a "WIPER LINKAGE BUSHING ASSORTMENT" part# 49447 and it sells for about $5 bucks. Its fits tight and took a few minutes to install but its worth the trouble to save about $100

Wipers on my 1985 Dodge Ram Charger don'm move. they are at a up position. I could hear the wiper motor on.

this sounds like an arm poped off the linkage, see if you can move the wipers by hand if you can then linkage poped off, remove the cowl and look at the linkage you may need to replace the linkage some cars you can buy just one linkage arm instaed of the complete unit and also some part stores sell the plastic bushing to replace worn one on linkage and it just pops on,

2003 Chevy Cavalier - Driver side wiper doesn't work

Likely broke the nylon bushing cap on the left side wiper transmission assembly. Best as I can tell, the cap is not replaceable so replacement of the assembly is required. These are available new AC Delco p/n 19120840 about $75, or on ebay used for about $35. ACDelco 19120840 Windshield Washer Transmission Kit. Goold luck, mine's broke too!
