Have a look in trunk for a hole in side panel area, could even be marked fuel cut-off switch, push down to reset.

95 Tracer will not start.

I would want to know what the actual fuel pressure is at the injector rail. Its very unlikely you have more than one failed injector, and it will run on the other 3.
The fuel in the filter means that the pump is putting out at least a couple of pounds of pressure, but may not be enough to run the car.
Is the check engine light on ? Will it start if you use starting fluid to boost fuel supply ?

I tried to help a while ago,but it said something I typed wasn't English or some other such nonsense. The port is near the injectors on the fuel rail.

I have a 99 mercury mountaineer and it ran out of gas after I put gas in it its like the truck just won't kick thegears ovr do u think I need a new fuel filter or a whole fuel tank

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they just stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?

You dont need another fuel tank. Running a vehicle out of gas allows any trash or goo to get in the fuel system. Trash mostly is trapped at the pump inlet screen and in the filter. GOO can make its way into the injectors. Throw in a bottle of injector cleaner. A sure indication of a bad fuel pump is an audible constant change in rpm's. It sounds like it's changing gears.

Wont start says fuel cut out

Check to see if your fuel pump is kicking on. You should hear it buzz for a second or two when you first turn the key. If it is not, it may be bad or it may be the fuse. Check the fuse/relay, or reset button if equipped. It may be a clogged fuel filter also. Visually check to see if gas is coming from the pump and gas is going through the filter. Check all your gas lines and make sure none are damaged. Check to see if gas is getting to your fuel injectors. You may have a bad injector. That is all the components to the fuel Mike. Fuel pump reset switch

I don't have my manual right now, but check in the back compartment, right or left side behind a panel, or up front behind one of the kick panels.
