It seems you have a timing problem. Have the engine timed properly. If that does not work it could be a craked rotor or distributor cap. have all these checked.

Most parts stores, such as Auto Zone, can give you the specific Ohms values for your coil. You will want to check the resistance between where the coil wire goes to the coil, and the electrical terminals the coil. And compare it with the OEM resistance.

Does the rotor turn? I would check that out. Take the cap off, have someone crank the engine and watch the rotor to see if it's turning. If it does then try a new cap and rotor. If it does not, I would suspect timing belt. Hope this helps, TJ
