sounds like a blend door problem. This door is actuated by vacuum or servo motor. It actuates the door to go from the hot side to the cold side sound like it isn't working. Hope this helps you

No heat / heater not working

not blowing air or when switch is on blows cold air when you have climate control knob turned over to heat? it could be a switch or blower motor or fuse if its not blowing any air. if its blows cold air when knob is on heat then is can be thermostat or low on coolant or it could be climate control module or it could be a air filter in dash.

My 1997 Mazda Protege heater does not blow air, i replaced and tested blower motor, resistor and fuses inside the cab. Still nothing

Before replacing the blower motor, you should have checked the motor's input wiring loom for power.
Do you have power here?

If you don't have power, then you need to check your blower switch output wires.

Mazda Protege 2001. My heater doesn't turn on, even temperature is high enough, it's just blowing cold air. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you

You need a new thermostat .... any parts store... maybe even WalMart's automotive section would carry this. Good Luck.

Where can i find the blower motor resistor on a 97 mazda protege?

I think any parts store can get it for you.

But if you asking for location of the component , then it's a different story.
All b/m resistors(any car) located around blower motor or in the air duct after blower motor, they need to be vented all the time , otherwise they overheat and blow. Wires from motor are going to resistor , so if you trace the wires you'll find resistor.

problem with one of the flaps ,just turn vent control to screen so it blows onto screen instead,or put a clamp on the water hose

I have a 94 Mazda Protege and I don't get very good heat, the gauge says that the temp. is OK , Ther water pump seems to be working and I just replaced the thermostat. still the heat gets just barely warm,...

check your controls under dash maybe lever or cable has come off or broke to the heat door or recirculate vent/////// if you check the hose going to heater core and the return hose maybe clogged heater core

Air conditioner

If the blower is not working at all it could be the blower or fuse or switch but if it blows on high only it could be your blower motor resistor.
