Re: abs light on as well as brack light on the das
Brake pads are the ONLY way to stop you going like 30mph+ when you hit like a wall or person or like another road user & if you do crash YOU will be totally at fault for having an unfit car. The best way to get the lights on your dash to go out is to fit new pads. The lights show that the time when the brakes WILL fail is drawing very near, it is stilll up to you to get the pads changed. You will not get any further warnings from your car prior to not being able to stop at all thus causing endangerment. You will be shocked at just how bad they were when you feel the new pads.

My 2003 Monte Carlo and my husbands 2003 chevy pickup both had the ABS and traction control lights on. When it began it only came on once in a while but got worse until the lights were on all the time. After several attempts to find the problem we purchased a ABS Brack Scan. Part #CP9449. Although it doesn't pinpoint the exact problem it does tell you what wheel has the issue and possible problems. My problem was a bad wire in the harness. Good luck!
this means that one of you abs wheel sensors is not working take voltmeter check each wheel senser there on the caliper around it should be 12 volts then check fluid cause brake fluid set off brake light too but those only two possibilitys
Be aware that if the (BRAKE!) light is on you are probably low on brake fluid and while your brakes are still working properly, there is a possible fluid leak somewhere that is going to causse them to not work at all. When this light is on it is serious. Although the sensor in the master cylinder that tells this light to come on is probably the answer, as they tend to malfunction in your vehicle. Check your brake fluid immediately, and fill it if it is legitimately low.
If the (ABS) brake light is on it is probably an ABS speed sensor in the vehicle that is bad, If the abs light is on have a service center do a diagnostic scan to verify which sensor is bad.
