Have you checked the fuel filter? It should be located on the frame on the passenger side, if you've already done this then its time for a fuel pump

Is it possible for my crank position sensor go bad on my 99 mercedes benz c280 when I disconnect battery? It rolls over but seems like its not getting gas. Thanks

No component will fail as a result of you disconnecting
your battery

Batteries go bad & have to be replaced all the time,
so I don't know why you would wonder that

The crank sensor is a sealed magnetic sensor & it
is actually an output sensor,so the engine controls
are waiting on it to send a signal base on a magnetic
pulse as the flywheel passes by

It is used for cylinder recognition or positioning

I read what you wrote-- alot
Something seems like something !

No it doesn't,not unless you perform some kind
of a test to confirm

You have no way to know if your getting fuel unless
you hear the fuel pump run when your ear is next to
the tank or you have a scan tool on the car & read the
data or a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on fuel rail.

So you have I assume a no start condition

You need as you said fuel & spark

You can't have the MAF sensor unplugged or the
air filter ducted near it off & explect the air part to
be recognized.

It may have failed but not because of the battery

Do not throw parts at it to try & resolve, have it properly
diagnosed

Hyundai 2003 Santa Fe 2.7V6 - engine turns over fine, doesn't seem to be getting fuel immediately. Eventually it starts after 5 or 6 seconds of turning over. Suspect fuel filter or fuel pump?

Initially I would agree fuel pressure had dropped off after shut down. This fuel filter is a sock screen attached to the fuel inlet tube of the fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank with the fuel pump. This screen is rarely the cause. You'll need a fuel pump pressure gauge to verify the low fuel pressure at start up. Caution, sometimes this low pressure isn't a faulty pump, sometimes it's a poor wiring connection to the pump motor. An analog amp meter can verify if there is fluctuation/ing current flow to the fuel pump. A fluctuating current flow could mean poor connections, or could mean the pump has/is gone/going bad.

1985 corvette cranks but won't start, fuel pressure good, oil is good also, it doesn't seem to be geeting any fuel. New fuel pump, filter & gas. Is there a security aystem problem?

Check to see if you have spark, if you do, and still it does not start, then you may think that fuel is not getting to it. At this point, use some starting fluid and spray it at the throttle opening. That should start it for a few seconds and give you the answer.

No dash lights, power locks don't work, fuel gadge doesn't work, radio doesn't work.

all these circuits share some common fuses, check fuse #6 ( 10 amp ), fuse # 11 ( 15 amp ) & fuse #12 ( 10 amp ) all in the inside fuse box at the left end of the dash.....good luck

It's getting gas, the battery's good, the fuel pump is working, & I just replaced the rotor, cap, plugs & wires. Every few weeks or so though, she just doesn't start. The only...

At first blush, it sounds like the distributor cap isn't seated. Since it's happening when the engine is cold and at night, I'm guessing condensation is causing the problem. Try spraying starter fluid on the cap the next time the car doesn't start. This will dispel any condensation. If the car starts, that would be a good place to start.
