Take the radiator cap off, top up the radiator and the overflow tank, and run the car until normal operating temperature is reached. Shut off the car and replace the radiator cap. This usually gets all air out of the coolant system. If you have a bleed valve on the thermostat housing, crack that open until coolant runs out, then close.

Don't know. Actually, most cars don't have them. But check top of engine, where water passages may be.

2000 Nissan Maxima Overheating

Hi. Your radiator fan motor may be seized. Should ingage between 95-100 degrees when you parked on idle after achieving full working temp. If it doesn't, check fuse first and than relay responsible for cooling fan( you can find cavity in your owner manual. Let me know. The reason you car is ok while driving is the air going thru your radiator. When you stoped or parked for longer time with no speed there is nothing to cool your radiator. Fix it asap or eventually will cause engine over hit and seize.

My 2001 Nissan Maxima is overheating and I am also getting bad gas mileage. I have replaced the radiator cap, the engine coolant and thermostat. It is still overheating.

One possible cause of this is your radiator might be clogged with corrosion, in order to verify this is withe the engice cold, open the radiator cap and then, fill it up to full but not to the point that it will spill, start the engine and step on the accelerator pedal and observe the water from the radiator if the water will squirt upward. If the radiator is clogged, you need to have it overhauled to declog corrosion that is on the fins of your radiator.

You may also check the fans if they are spinning.

Hope this helps, it happened to me before and I'm just sharing it to you.

02 maxima blows no heat. Only one hose going to core is warm. Have new t-stat and new radiator. I'm having trouble locating blend door. Still don't know if that's the problem.

If only one hose going to the core is hot, then the heater core valve is bad. It's what stops or allows hot coolant into the core. Only one hose being hot means coolant is not traveling through the heater core. Have that valve checked out.

Does the engine need to be running on my 02 Montana to bleed the air from the cooling system?

yes it does, most engine need to be running as to circulate the coolant so all the air is out of coolant system when bleeding.

1998 nissan maxima trouble code p0134 the check light is on and it will not pass inspection

The code points to a 02 sensor no responce. It may be dead. Testing can confirm this. If the car has a broken wire or an 02 sensor fuse this also could be the issue.

2001 nissan maxima overheating problem persists

It sounds like the the thermostat that was replaced is probably faulty. This being the cheapest and easiest to do I would start there. I can't reply about the air pockets. I have never heard of that before.

Brake problem

Do you have a leak? If not try bleeding the ones that don't work. If you get no fluid pressure, replace the master cylinder.
