Heater valve location

It's a vacuum line to control the valve? It will connect there at valve and run into and under the dash to the back of the heater control panel. All the vacuum control hoses for the heat and AC are in a pod that connects to the back of the heater controls. A vacuum line from the engine is also there, the pod will send the vacuum signal out to various doors on the heater/AC case, as the controls demand. One also goes to the heater control valve.

Have 2004 suburban 1500 heat does not work for rear. Auto will be at operating temp heat from dash is hot but rear is cold. Any suggestions?

AFTER YOUR TRUCK IS AT OPERATING TEMP CHECK BOTH OF THE HEATER HOSES GOING INTO THE REAR HEATER AND SEE IF ONE IS HOT AND THE OTHER ONE IS COLD. IF THEY ARE AS I MENTIONED THEN YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE THE REAR HEATER CONTROL VALVE (if the valve is located after where you checked the hoses) OR YOU HAVE A PLUGGED HEATER CORE AND IT NEEDS TO BE FLUSHED OR REPLACED. IF BOTH HOSES ARE COLD THEN CHECK WHERE THE REAR HEATER CONTROL VALVE IS LOCATED AND IF IT IS BEFORE THE REAR HEATER HOSES START THEN SEE IF THE HOSE GOING INTO THE REAR HEATER CONTROL VALVE IS HOT GOING IN AND COLD GOING OUT AND IF IT IS REPLACE THE VALVE AND THAT WILL FIX YOUR REAR HEATING PROBLEMS ! 1998 mercury grand marquis heater doesnt work only cold air comes out the air cond works fine the enginecoolant is new, the engine doesnt overheat.

Either your heater control valve is not properly operating or your heater core is clogged. Locate the heater control valve under the hood, should be close to firewall on heater hose, have someone adjust temperature from hot to cold and see if you can see the heater control valve operating if so replace the heater core, if its not doing anything replace it(heater control valve).

How do i replace a heater control valve on a 2001 sierra 1500 pick up

your heater control valve should be located on one of your heater hoses coming from the heater core. usually they are located close to the firewall and will have some type of control cable attached to it . Simply unhook the two hose clamps to remove and replace the valve .

The heater quit working in my 2003 dakota 3.9 liter v6. A liitle heat comes out, but not much even with the gauge turned on high. Fuses in truck look good, coolant level good. Where is the location of the...

The control valve could be damaged or you could have a blockage in the heater core. Locate the valve in the engine compartment and watch it while someone inside the truck moves the heater lever back and forth. You want to verify that the valve is moving to open and close the pipe into the heater core. If that checks out ok, try to flush the heater core.

1996 crown victoria has no heat

the temp blend door may not be rotating from the a/c evaporator to the heater core opening.

Could be the motor on the blend door or the temp control knob.

Do you have manual a/c or electronic temp control?

If it's the a/c door electronic actuator motor, it's on top of the plenum. Have to remove the instrument panel for access.

Hope it's the temp knob on the control head.

top one is the circuit you are looking at
