My 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera has trouble accelerating and starts to slow down or has trouble getting over 40 mph

It has trouble accelerating, not acting like it should. it should have some good horsepower. also when i start getting up to 30 mph it struggles and starts to slow down and i have to let my foot off the gas and then try and accelerate again.

it also turns off randomly while driving. i have changed the plugs, wires, camshaft position sensor, catalytic converter, and used multiple fuel injector cleaners.

Clean the maf sensor. See how the car runs with the maf sensor unplugged. If no codes are present, you may have to consider the pcm may have a problem.

SOURCE: bucking, slow acceleration, & shuts off

it can be couple of thing Try a fuel injector cleaner or new fuel injectors.it can be vacuum leak. Engines need a vacuum to run especially at idle which is when your car dies. It could be a stuck EGR.
If the check engine light comes on it will store a code so take it to a shop and pay them to read the codes. This may give you a starting point.

Change the IAC the idle air control. You may be able to clean it and put it back on.

SOURCE: The windows in the 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera won't work at all

maybe the wire is severed where the door (drver dr) pivots. thats what was wrong with mine. there is a rubber boot with crinkles in it that hold all the wires together. you can also try replacing the switch board that controls the wndws on the drvr dr. hope that helps.

04 Ford Expedition trouble accelerating.Struggle to get to 30 mph Engine light with code p0174 system too lean bank 2. P0172 system too rich bank 1. What to fix?

ok............when you change plugs the cmptr needs to relearn firing order. it takes 3-5 times/restarts before it relearns. I went through the exact same thing with my expedition. a day or two later she purred like a kitten. secondly if you are having acceleration problems you may be looking at a bad catalytic converter. lastly......check your air filter, take it out and see how it runs without filter. that was also an issue I had when it was rough running. good luck

Poor acceleration

Could it be a bad exhaust? Not enough pressure will leave you with less horsepower any time you hit the gas. Just a thought.
