Automatic light sensor on dash of a 2006 chevy malibu fell into dash

I used a sun shade in my window, apparently with repeated use and bumping the little "day light or night light" sensor unscrewed and fell into the dash. Now that the sensor is in the dark dash my headlights are on 24/7 (when the car is on, obviously) I cant get the plastic vent cover on the dashboard to come up so i can get access to the sensor button. The dealership has no clue as to fix it.

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Malibu. ABS light

The abs light will reset every time the vehicle is shut off. The most common cause of the abs light coming on is a bad wheel speed sensor. A scan tool would be the option to locate the fault in the abs system.

Just remove the windshield pillar moldings and then you will be able to pop up that whole panel that goes across behind the dash part. Then you can reinstall that sensor. Gotta remove the moldings first.

How to operate sun shade in toyta avalon 2006

try this , it shows you the general area of the switch. There seems to have been problems with them though. I would also check the fuse and the switch itself. If all are ok there is a good chance it's the motor for the shade. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=how+to+operate+the+sun+shade+in+a+toyota+avalon&FORM=VIRE1#view=detail&mid=F6516CB571872653F0CDF6516CB571872653F0CD

I have a 2006 Chevy Malibu that has a sunroof that will not stay completely closed. I notices at highway speeds or if I hit a bump, the sunroof "pops" and you can hear the increase in cabin noise...

Open roof all the way and make sure there is no build up on the tracks, get on the roof to do this. Then check to see if any damage on the seal itself. Sun and moisture can affect this.

My 2006 Chevy Malibu (LS I believe) is constantly saying there is a "door open" when all of my doors, including the hood and trunk, are closed completely. What could the issue be?

The doors, when shut, hit a sensor on the side of the metal frame. When it is closed, it shuts the lights in the inside off and turn the dash light off. One of your doors are not hitting the sensor and pushing it back. Find which one it is and that will solve the issue.
