Fuel filter should be on pass. side near the rear tire. hook a fuel pressure guage to the engine and see if it is leaking back. if so you need a fuel pressure regulator.

check the solenoid on petrol line from fuel pump to carburettor is switching off petrol to carburettor when switching, you should hear the solenoid clicking when operating. Alternatively you can disonnect pipe fueline at carburettor, turn key ,if petrol comes out of line make sure it shuts off when you turn switch from petrol to LPG

2005 vw polo 1.9 tdi wont start

if it starts when you pour fuel in the intake.. then fuel is not reaching the tbi from the tank..you say you put a new fuel pump on this..did you bleed the fuel lines? if not do this because there is an airlock in those lines..either you need to open a fuel line at the tbi unit to bleed it all out.. or be looking at a clogged up fuel filter..

I have a 2009 chevy cobalt and i ran it out of gas still have power but it wont start when i added gas plus its about 17 degrees outside does this change anything

fuel pumps need fuel to lubricate the little plastic gears that pump the petrol. No fuel=no lubrication= dead pump. Try a new pump and ensure that there is always enough petrol in the tank. It takes a lot less than 17 degrees to freeze petrol. Have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check pump operation. regulator operation and fuel filter.

If it wont start and i dont here the fuel pump could it be out and how hard is it to change

If the fuel line is pressurised, you sometimes won't hear the pump. Before replacing fuel pump you must ensure that is your problem. You need to make sure spark is getting to sparkplugs. If you have spark, investigate fuel pressure...carefully, pressurised fuel lines can be hazardous. Usually the hum from the fuel pump when you turn the ignition switch to ON, can be a good indication that fuel is good. But not always.

Mi 2003 ford explorer doesn't start and there is power in the spark plug and fuel in the line

If the check engine light is on, scan and retrive codes.
Check fuel pressure...you shoud have around 40 PSI.

I ran my Daewoo espero out of petrol and now that i have put petrol in it it just wont start. no matter how much i try and jump start the bastard

When you turn the ignition to ON, you should hear the fuel pump hum for a couple of seconds. If you can't hear it, check the fuel pump fuse..... check all fuses anyway.

Polo 1.4 cutting out every 30 seconds

Do you hear the fuel pump cut off? Once your pump reaches pressure it should cut off. Also you can try and remove your fuel cap and see if the car will run just know it could cause your check engine light to come on so do not run it very long. If it continues to run with fuel cap off I would say it is your fuel pump. Good luck with that and the best thing to do is get a fuel pressure gadge and see what kind of fuel pressure you are running. I know there are some parts houses that will loan or rent you tools. Good luck.
