Will start over and over while still warm. when it sits for a few hours, it just turns over and doesn't start for about 20 trys.

5.2 engine, runs smooth as can be once started, let it set, and it doesn't want to start.

The times when it does not want to start....is the check engine light coming on, in the dash? If it does not light up when the jeep refuses to start then your jeep ecu is probably in need of repair. Your ecu may be suffering from the 'delayed start check engine light problem.' Check to see, next time it doesn't want to start.

SOURCE: 94 jeep grand cherokee stalls after the first 5 min of operation

Sounds like the automatic choke is either binding or gone bad.

On a cold start, that's why the RPMs are bumped up for a few minutes...the choke is allowing the engine to warm up, before dropping the intake mix to normal "run" level.

However, should the choke remain closed once the engine is hot, the stalling will happen for lack of air.

The choke-control is mounted on top of the manifold, near the throttle cable-cam.
Look for a small (about 3" wide X 2" deep) cone-shaped metal can with a linkage to the throttle cam.

With the engine off, spray the linkage at both ends with Liquid Wrtench and work the linkage in and out of the can a few times to check for smooth operation.
You should feel slight back-pressure when you move the linkage toward the controller.
With the linkage pushed in, spray and wipe the exposed surface inside the controller body.

Allow the cleaner to dry for a few minutes (it's just oil, I know...but if you used a spray, the propellants could be flammable) and start the truck.
Allow it ti idle at least 5 minutes until the auto-choke pulls back on the throttle...then take a short ride around the block to see if that cured the stalling.

Have a 1991 bonneville le has to sit for a few hours before it will restart

You may need to check fuel pressure after the engine warms up and shuts off. Maybe the fuel pump gets hot and stops. Have you checked for spark after it dies?

Car won't stay running after sits overnight and runs good after you do get it started

In the morning, turn key to on position for 5 seconds. Do not crank. Then turn off for 5 seconds. Repeat this about 5 times. Then try to start. If engine starts right up, the fuel pump check valve is bad. Meaning all fuel in fuel line is returning to the tank when car sits overnight. The only fix is to replace fuel pump. If that doesn't work, replace coolant temp. sensor for the computer. About a 12.00 part.

Our car starts right up in the morning just fine. The rest of the day in and out of car it has trouble starting. What could it be?

If battery and connections are good (it's a big draw, different then other components).Because a bad connection or old battery can sometimes work the starter after it sits, doesn't make it .Some times a starter has a bad spot, thats whe you see some one get under and directly jump it.If buying a battery get at least recommended cranking amp size battery,Larger auto stores check battery no charge (bad joke). Its free google /bing who does a free battery test.Auto zons, pep boys, sears.May even be running a sale. Most switch out battery for fee (no charge*),*Hopefully you will laugh later.

My MAzda 2003 MPV ES.The evap and EGR still incomplete, need reset on the monitor- drive test; everything else passed the smog. no codes show on scanner. FEw months ago, I chage the battery, but I was told...

Here is the procedure for allowing system to run each of the separate mode tests.
EGR : Start engine and warm up completely. Make sure all electrical loads are off (A/C headlights, blower fan, and rear window defroster) Accelerate to between 49-57 mph and hold a very steady speed for 1 minute. Decelerate to a stop and turn off engine.
EVAP : Ensure Baro pressure is 21.3 inHg or higher, Intake air temp is 41-95 'F, Fuel tank level is between 25-75%, Battery voltage is 10.9-14.6 volts. Start engine and idle for more than 10 seconds then turn key to off. Leave vehicle to sit for 5 hours or more. Start engine and race to 3500 rpm to warm up completely the idle for more than 15 minutes. Accelerate and then drive vehicle at very steady speed between 40-50 mph for more than 5 minutes. Stop vehicle and turn key to off. Leave vehicle undisturbed for 20 minutes or more.
When I say steady speed in the above, try to keep dead on to a set speed to help ensure the test is run. Especially for the EGR as this is when the test will be performed and if speed/rpm is not very steady then test will not be performed. The Evap test will be ran during that final 20 minute or more sitting period (or should be anyway).

Check your IAC idle air control sensor. This is a sensor that makes sure that your car is getting the right amount of mixture with the fuel. It is located in the right back of the engine behine the intake. If this helped pleae rate

Truck won't start...

It may be a bad starter or the starter solenoid. If by not starting you mean it will not turn engine, but if the engine is turning then the starter is turning so it is something else all together.
Starters will usually work when they are cold then once warm or hot they will not work.
Hope this helps!
