Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Trying to get out of four wheel drive, and unable to do so. the only other position that I can shift into is four wheel auto, cannot go into four wheel lo or neutral.can you please give me some help thank you.
Had the same problem. Easy fix. Grasp the plastic dashboard piece that goes around the instrument cluster and 4 wheel drive switch and pull off. Remove the 4 wheel drive switch. Unplug wiring harness from back of switch. use small screwdriver and carefully bend all metal tabs in back of switch slightly to one side. Re-install harness and switch back into dash. Should work fine, it just was not getting a connection. Worked great for me.
