Question about Cars & Trucks
The 'door is open' light comes on when you turn on the ignition, so I SLAMED every door (including the boot) but still the light was on...Strange and a bit concerning!
Faulty switch somewhere ,would need a play here to locate which one it is but i wouldnt mind betting either the drivers door or the hatch ,if the load arm pistons are weak and the hatch door slams shut the look their first

Sound's like you have some sort of a short or an open, somewhere, i would first check your fuse box,
in your engine and in your dash with a test light. make sure all fuses are working, if you had an open or short it could be possible you blew various fuses with a certain surge of power..
Second.. if you have an aftermarket sterio and all said before turns out alright. then i would pull out and check the wiring in the sterio and all surrounding it, one could have been rubbing up on another bare wire or ground out.

SOURCE: ford falcon locks
Dude, the same thing happened with my EL falcon. It turned out to be the key fob!
The buttons were sometimes sticking and all of a sudden it would re-lock. Ususally it would unlock then immediately relock. Leaving no time to get into the the car. Sometimes we would be driving and the Alarm would go off without touching a thing. I ditched the Key Fob and all was well again.
I hope this helps

Have you tried pulling on your steering wheel at the same time you turn the key? Are you up against a curb? Try pulling it both ways. Push gearshift firmly into park and try it. It could be the safety switch in your counsel is faulty.
