Question about Toyota Tacoma
My truck drives ok until i get to about 25-30 mph then engine feels like its holding back and when i try to go over 60 mph it gets very erratic like its holding back. its an automatic trans and when im slowing down its like im downshifting in a manual trans.. also when i put in park and let my foot of the brake the truck rolls back a little and shifter makes a click noise...when i first got truck i mistakenly shift into 4 wheel drive low while in drive instead of neutral which leads me to believe maybe an actuator or something is out of whack, can anyone please help

SOURCE: car will not shift into gear
Sounds like a linkage/cable to me. Disconnect the linkage at the transmission and move the shift actuator by hand to see if there is the same things happening. Don't try to do this with the engine running unless someone is holding the brake inside the car.

You have a bad contact in the wiring to the switch - the 2 wires are shorting. You will have to dismantle the center console and inspect the switch - replace it if you have any doubt..
