Why is there a squeaking noise only when I drive at night

at night, it is cold, your drive belt gets worn other time, when it's cold at night it doesn't get much grip, so it squeaks, what you can do is tighten it up, find which one is loose by pressing on them. The concept of belt tensioning is simple, look it up, on all cars work the same.

My intrigue was driven at a very high speed and the car had shut down and steam started coming out from under the hood. what do you figure went out on it?

worst case u seized engine steam would be antifreeze boiling over or coming out of a cracked port or blown gasket[head gasket] other is over heating engine and pressure vent in cap popped ,blown radiator, blown heater hose , seized water pump, can be anything would need more info to help narrow down problem but if beating on car [VERY high speed ]and something went like u state most likely will be pricey to repair damage

Sounds like your serpentine belt is slipping try checking your belt tension with engine off if ok replace belt or purchse belt dressing spray at your local parts house.

yes, the belts need to be changed.
have the hood open and start the car, go to the front and look at the belts when you still able to hear the high pitching sound. if any the belt are vibrating, tighten the belt of change that belt.

My 2001 lhs has a high pitch noise

Check the belts and if they are over 4 years old, replace them. This is probably the issue.

High Pitched noise

I had a high pitch noise, didn't sound like it came from the "underside". Turns out it was one of fans that had little chips in the blades? My Audi dealer replaced it, and it's fine now.
