You may have shorted them out if you did not disconnect the battery when replacing the alternator did you check the fuses under the hood as well as the ones in the car? get a 12volt tester and see if you have power coming to the seats and if you don't there could be an open curcuit somewhere open the hood and make sure everything is Ok and that there is no plugs to the fuse box off under the hood

Always check body grounds. You may have good power to the engine with a good ground still, but your body grounds control power to all else.

Heated seats in 2007 Lincoln MKX not working. I puch the button to turn them on and they light up for a second then go off. What would be the cause and solution. If it was a major problem would effect...

Help anybody?
I have a 2010 Lincoln MKX with heated and cooled front seats. However, when I try to turn them on (85% of the time) they don't work. Primarily when it's cold the heated seats won't stay on... The light turns on for a fast count of 1-5 and then turns off. This has happened since the car was new and I've had it into the dealer 4 times to have it fixed (with no resolve). In their defense they suggest it's fixed each time because they test the heated seats when the vehicle is warm in the shop. Unfortunately, this is nearly the only time it stays on.
I would love to recommend a suggested fix to the dealer as they don't seem to be able to repair it... Any ideas???

The air bags when out......is it better to buy them new or just add the suspension?

Your best, with a Continental or Lincoln Navagator, to just
replace the air suspension with conventional shocks/struts,
after your vehicle is about 8 years old and you have put
time and money into previous air system problems

Strutmaster you hear a lot of and there has to be others
