SOURCE: very noisy squeky fron suspension on jaguar xj8

You might need a lube job or you may need to see if noise is coming from another place such as your engine water pump, brakes, power steering. Look for leaks.

SOURCE: how to replace 2003 xj8 thermostat

=thermostats are easy fixes, just locate your upper radiator hose and where it enters the engine. three should be a thermostat housing at the end of the hose and it will be bolted to the engine. Remove this housing and replace with correct thermostat and gasket and tighten housing to the proper torque specs. You will need to use care when removing the bolts as it appears to have some clerance problems on some of the housing bolts as it is bolted to composite plastic material and is easily damaged. here is link. I would not over tighten the bolts again because of the material.

How do you replace a thermostat on a 2007 Ford V6

First drain down radiator, remove top radiator hose from radiator and engine. The housing on engine, houses thermostat. Unbolt housing, pull thermostat and remember to pull/scrape old gasket out. To install reverse above procedure with 1 IMPORTANT NOTE... Do not overtighten housing, they break easily. When chasing down parts, check with parts store for info they may provide, written steps or diagrams to make an easy job even easier.
