I would check all your fuses, they may have blown. Fuses are the first thing you should always check when something quits working on a vehicle.

Could be many things start with spark plugs and work back, plugs, wires, coils. distributor if it has one, then power to all of those things, wiring just too many things it can be, just need someone who knows what to trouble shoot on it.

Click on the link, check fuse f13--20 amp. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite, hot all the time.
You have to test when problem is ongoing. The fuse is for brake lamps.
At the moment, I don't know if trouble shooting one system will fix the rest? With multiple issues, I pick one system and trouble shoot.

Changed out the engine on my 96 S10, all battery and starter wires are hooked up. Starter wire and alternator wire is hot but i have no power on the inside. No crank, no lights, no radio, no wiper etc....

The easiest thing to forget is a ground strap. They are usually a flat braided un-coated cable at the back of the motor. When me and my brother changed out a ranger transmission we spent 2 days and $400 on new electronics. When we took it to the shop, they could not get a diagnostic reader to work. $2.76 for a cable, and $75 for labor, the truck fired up.

I need to disconnect the battery on my 2001 E46 325i and the bmw dealer has told me there is no code for the radio in this model...does anyone know if this is correct?

TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE BUT.THATS NO GUARANTEE YOU WILL LOSE RADIO CODE I WOULD TRY TO USE A BACK UP MEMORY SAVER YOU PLUG IN THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER BUT NO GOOD IF CAR GOING TO BE DOWN LONG.TIME BECAUSE THE MEMORY SAVER BATTERY WILL GET WEAK YOURE IN TROUBLE.BMW WARNS IF YOU DISCONNECT BATTERY CABLES YOU WOULD LOSE HEATING COOLING CLIMATE CONTROL.YOU ALSO WILL LOSE FUNCTION TO WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHER , CENTRAL LOCKING AND THEFT SYSTEM CONTROL.

Heater fan workiing intermittently

Check your fuses. That would definitely be my first guess. Take one out for the wipers or something time being and pop it in and see if your fan doesn't fire right up.
