Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
My blower fan only works on and off...Needs to be replaced
I have removed the panel and disconnected all electric connections.
I have removed the screw that fixes the switch to the panel and disengaged the black switch. I can turn it but can't remove it....Is there any other hidden screw or do I only have to pull harder....
To remove the knob, put it on the second speed setting and pull! Center piece and outer knob will pop right off. Found the answer elsewhere and it ought to be here too.

Don't. What you have to do is take the ashtray out then remove the 2 screws. Pry the whole assembly off and replace the switch in the back. The knob only moves the switch back and forth and nothing more.

SOURCE: front wheel alignment
thanks for your reply/update the reason for front tyres wearing as you describe would suggest the steering tracking is wrong and for some reason ?the tyre wear on inner isindication the track is toeing out too much ? this fault could be ? simple adjustment req'd however dependand on make of tyres has to be considered when tracking as to whether they toe in or out or straight ahead ? also front wheel drive ? there could be other factors b4 tracking is adjusted such as steering joints wear ? or damage ? also suspension ? as i mentioned best to visit a good tyre depot and let them investigate while you wait and give you a reportas to fault normally free in uk if it is simply tracking req's re adjust then they can do it and charge for the adjusting not expensive and they may also recommend switching wheels from rear to front providing tread are good ? hope this helps best wishes

My 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis had a similiar problem. The blower fan continuously ran at full blast and wouldn't shut off now matter what!
It was the part called the Blower Motor Resistor had gone out. I purchased it for $50.00 from the Dealer and replaced it myself. You can get a diagram from your dealer or online. It is kind of hard to get to but if the dealer had replaced it.....it would have cost $200!
