SOURCE: 1999 Tercel. Timing belt/water pump interval change?

Hello tinaromano1: The factory specification are to replace the belt every 90,000 miles in severe service. I would recommend to replace at 90,000 no matter what the service would be. Keep in mind should the belt break there is always a chance engine damage may occur. Should you need further help just ask. Thank You for using FixYa. Roger

SOURCE: When di I need to change a timing belt with 120K

Now. i think the interval is 75 to 80 miles for belts. double check that it doesn't have a timing chain. if it has the 2.4 ltr eng than you have timing chain and around 120k is fine.

How many miles would i have left on my 2016 nissan micra if the fuel gauge starts blinking? i am about 18 miles from the nearest gas station and i wonder if i will make it.

The amount of miles changes from car to car. In most cars the fuel light comes when there is somewhere between 1 and 2 gallons of fuel left. The miles you will get will depend on how you drive. The harder you drive the less you will get.
When the light first comes on, and stays on, assume you have 1 gallon worth of miles, (Your MPG number).
Has it just started flashing? The light tells you how much fuel is left and not how far you can drive. If the light is flashing the answer will be not many miles.
You have two choices. Risk it and drive there or ask a friend if they will take you. For both you will need to take a fuel can.

Does my Civic have a timing chain or a timing belt

It has a timing belt. Recommended to be replace every 105,000 miles, timing belt also run's your water pump good idea to also replace, your engine is also an INTERFERENCE ENGINE which will damage your cylinder head valve's if timing belt goes bad. Hope this was very helpful.
