Will distributor shaft out of 96 GMC jimmy fit in a 95 GMC jimmy both have the 4.3 vortec

Yes, GM didn't change many things from the year 1995-1996. Your 95 might even take 96 parts.

Replace the thermostat

Used to be simple over the years it has gotten harder. First get the hayne or chilton repair manual for your jimmy if your having intermittance over heating problems with your jimmy then yes it could be the thermostat it should be located at the end of the big middle radiator hose going to the top of the engine the metal flange that the hose connects to under it after you take out two of three bolts is the thermostat check out the way it is seated and take the new one you bought and put it in the same way the old one was sitting and put the cover back on.follow the flushing maintence procedures for your Jimmy, good luck

I actually have a 1996 gmc jimmy is it the same as a 1999 i need to find the thermostat

hi, if you are speaking of a 1999 gmc jimmy, yes, the engines in both vehicles use the same thermostat. the thermostat is located inside the thermostat housing which is connected to the upper radiator hose, and mounted on the top of the engine to the intake manifold. it maybe a plastic housing, or aluminum, it will have two bolts. follow the upper radiator hose away from the radiator and where it ends, is where the housing is.

Were is the fuel pressure regulator located on my vehicle? Is there a picture or a diagram? 1994 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Vortec

the fuel pressure regulator is located inside the intake. you have to remove the upper intake to access the regulator. the black plastic intake is what you need to remove.

Where can i find the thermostat on 1986 gmc jimmy

Follow the upper radiator hose to the outlet elbow (the waterneck!) and it is located under it:

Removal & Installation
  1. Drain the radiator until the coolant level is below the thermostat level (below the level of the intake manifold).
CAUTION When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by the ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

  1. Remove the water outlet elbow assembly from the engine. Remove the thermostat from inside the elbow.
  2. Install new thermostat in the reverse order of removal, making sure the spring side is inserted into the elbow. Clean the gasket surfaces on the water outlet elbow and the intake manifold. Use a new gasket when installing the elbow to the manifold. On later models the thermostat housing may have been sealed with RTV sealant. If so, place a 1/8 inch bead of RTV sealer all around the thermostat housing sealing surface on the intake manifold and install the housing while it is still wet. Refill the radiator to approximately 21/2 inch below the filler neck.
If the thermostat is equipped with a pin hole, be sure to install pin side facing upwards.
