Question about 1996 Mercury Sable
My fan just started to run after I turn off the car. We removed the fuse but starts running hot. Any help is appreciated.
THe fan thermostat located on the front radiator is faulty or its wires are shorted. Check out which and replace the stat if needed! You ndeed the fan! the engine will not maintain proper temperature without it!

its probably a stuck relay locate it and replace it with another most likely that will cure it. check under the hood for a relay center.it should be diagrammed on the lid and use 1 from a different position first pull the one for the cooling fan if it stops that should cure it
