Sounds like you either lost your fan belt, or you have a seized up alternator, or belt tensioner. The fan belt [ drive belt ] turns the alternator to charge the battery, the power steering pump to make easy steering , and the water pump cooling your engine. Do you smell rubber burning? hear a squealing noise? or rattling noise. Open your engine bonnet, start the car up, and look at the drive belt and pulleys. They should all be turning. If this is the problem you will see something seized up. Also if you have let the power steering pump run out of oil, it may also be seized. Good luck with it

I lost power steering on a 2007 Equinox after changing the serpentine belt. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have the belt installed correctly? Not hard to make a mistake. Did you get any oil or fluid on the belt? Did you change belt tensioner at same time? Usually a good idea.

My abs and battery light came on on my 99 porsche boxster. The power steering then went out and my car began to run hot. Please help me I just got it out the shop a month ago and put a new radiator and AC...

No P/S and overheating sounds like it through a belt. If it was just worked on I would call the shop that worked on it. It sounds like they left something un-done

ABS and power steering light is constantly on

Hi. The only link between abs and power steering that springs to mind is the steering wheel angle sensor but you really need at least a code read of the systems as the faults may be unrelated. I think spending a few quid at the local garage and getting a proper insite into what is going on will be money well spent. The pedal vibration will probably turn out to be the abs activating on low speed braking as it is seeing a low speed signal from one wheel sensor. This can be caused by an abs speed sensor being improperly gapped or a damaged sensor pick up ring among other things, Again without some real details or codes from the ecu its hard to give a real diagnosis. A visual inspection of the wheel sensors and pick up rings may reveal something - you don't need to know exactly what your looking at just that they all look the same and clean, no missing teeth on the pick up rings or cracks. If you get at least a code read and post the results we might be able to delve a little deeper.

Abs & battery warning lights on and no power steering brake pad wear warning light on for 3days but don't think that's relivant!

If all these lights are on, one common issue for these cars is the ignition switch. Not hard to do. Wiggle the key and see if the lights will flicker or go off. Let me know.

Steering problem. Hard to turn the wheel to the left on slow turns. ABS, check engine and another dash light stay on constantly since this has been occuring. any advice?

Could be steering rack, but I would check the power steering fluid & pump to be sure they are working properly. Slow turns tells me the engine RPMs are down and that relates directly to any belts on the engine, i.e. power steering pump.
Take a look for any mechanical damage. The ABS is probably unrelated to the hard turns. Use an ODB-II scanner to get the codes and work from there.

2002 Chevy venture indicator trouble

Try disconnecting your battery for about 30 sec to reset the ABS computer. You probly have a trouble code stored in the ABS computer and the lights are letting you know there was a problem. If the light stays on after you reset computer then you will have to pull code to troubleshoot problem.
