My 2002 nissan sentra xe can't start. it wants to but it just won't turn over. it sounds like the car is out of gas but we just put gas

H Mkawaauhau, If the engine is turning on the starter but refusing to start, you may have one or more of several problems. I believe you should have a diagnostic scan carried out on the vehicle. the problem would seem to be the crankshaft or camshaft pick up sensor, a fuel delivery problem or the on board alarm anti theft unit. Need to know where the Cam shaft sensor is located on the 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8

the cam shaft sensor has to be located on the camshaft (thus the name) you will be looking for a fairly decent sized roundish cover usually on the back of the engine with more than likely three wires coming off of it, it will have two mounting screws, why are you needing to remove this?

Go to dealership they will give a diagram to locate every single one. I replace them on my daughter car. I believe there were three sensors. I exactly know what you are talking about. I had a hard time locating the back one right above the drive shaft on driver side.

Injector pulse comes from Cam sensor, If you have a BAd CAMSHAFT sensor you will not get injector pulse, replace sensor and that should solve your problem. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA
