Question about 2008 Volkswagen Multivan 2.5
I want to remove the two single seats in the rear of the multi van leaving the row of three seats at the rear and the two front seats. I can't seem to remove them. Any help please?

if its the old type there is a grease cap in the centre of the brake hub this must be removed to gain acess to the bearing ,,, a blunt chisel or screwdriver will prize it off ,, inside you will see a split pin locking the adjustment nut in place ,, remove this and the nut can be undone easily with a plires ,,, the bearing is tapered so the nut is not tightened fully to allow for some clearance,,,once the nut is off the outer bearing and washer will come out by rocking the brake hub '' the hup should then come off and allow you to acess the inner bearing which isin the brake hub behind the grease seal ,, if you fit a new bearing be careful to not overtighten the nut or it will cause the bearing to wear out quickly,,, i find a pliers is the best tool to adjust the nut ,, you just tighten the nut with it and then loosen slightly to allow a tiny amount of clearence ,,,make sure you use axle stands and block the other wheels because the handbrake must be off when carrying out this repair
