Question about 1996 Geo Prizm
Added everthing above....Starts all the time when warm but when its below 30 or SO it just clicks like the starter....Checked voltage while turning key and dont hardly drop,so kinda ruled out battery, plus I have tried to jump.....I think its the starter but double checking this cant hurt...Thanks Bryan
You have a faulty coil on the solonoid or the big metal thing inside is sticking as the oil and dirt in their is too much for the resistance so when its cold their is too much drag for it to be pulled in.

Look on Youtube for way to replace/clean contacts inside. New copper contacts available cheap, but old ones get carbon and cleaning gets you many more miles. Make sure wire to solenoid does not have grease on it from splashes, grease from bad cv boot, etc.

Even though the lights work, the battery may still be just short on power to turn the motor over thus the clicking. Try charging the battery or jumping, if you still get a clicking it would be the starter solenoid. Considering the year you may just want to replace the whole starter.

Grass may have woud around thw crank position sensor. locate at front of engine just above the crank pully . Check its position and plug connector.

SOURCE: 97 Geo Metro will not start
IF you are able to jump the vehicle using cables connected to another car then it is a power issue, if the vehicle stays running after starter you can most likely rule out the regulator, it sound like the battery is weak and dieing, it can be strong enough to run the radio without having the power to start the ignition.

SOURCE: 95 Geo Prizm Lsi will not start
95 prizms are known for starter problems if they last 2 years you are lucky..They just get way to hot where they are......And are a pain to replace....

It could be the starter, test the small wire going to the starter, it should have power when turning the key to start/crank. If it does, and the starter will not crank the engine, whack it with a hammer, if it then starts, replace the starter. If there is no power to the starter, then it could be the ignition switch, or the neutral switch, or a fuse/link blown.
