Question about 2000 Porsche Boxster
2000 boxster with OEM radio. Works with key in ignition but once car is started radio shuts off. Radio will turn on once car is heated up. I think it is tied to the cooling fans coming on but not sure. What could it be.

Te blue smoke is oil getting into the piston/fire chamber..
If it is only at start-up - it is more than likely the valve seals.. Allot of the time they use plastic ones so therefor it is somewhat common for cars to do this..
If it is not to bad and stops soon after start-up,, its not really a big deal..
IF it is allot - and smokes all the time - it could be that the valve seals need to be replaced OR could be the piston rimgs are shot..
Please dont forget to rate well ;o)

You should be able to enter the 4 digit code via the radio. If the radio has been replaced, you may need to recover the radio's serial number: http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/porsche/
