With my 2003 gmc when you open the hood and look at the top of the head light assembly you see two rods that kinda look like the end of an allen wrench (hard to explain in words) you have to turn them a quarter turn to unlock them and then pull them straight up and out. they are pins that hold the headlight assembly into the truck. when you remove them the whole assembly will then come out forward and you can change the bulb. the hard part if aligning the holes and getting the pins back in. dont forget to turn the pins back into the locked position after. hope this helps as my truck is a little older.

Headlight socket broken

no year, is it a 1973 Civic?
water there is 100% normal, huge water forces there... at 85mph.?
why not post the symptoms so we can help?
are both lamps dead, left and right????????????
yes, fuses. all fuse in both boxes, they are marked head lights.
most cars , not all have 2 fuse. one for each lamp. so both dont die
together, (big danger that)

if one lamp is dead, use a voltmeter, at the lamp
got 12vdc there, HL switch on, then the lamp is burned out.
measure at the socket, connected.

HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

NOTE : Avoid touching the bulb or letting the bulb come in contact with anything damp. Oil from your skin or moisture on the bulb can cause the bulb to explode when the bulb is turned on. If either comes in contact with the bulb, clean the bulb with alcohol or a suitable degreaser and wipe the bulb dry.

  2. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .

REPLACEMENT OF [LOW BEAM] HALOGEN BULB IN 2004 Buick LeSabre

I just Replaced a Low Beam Light bulb on a 2005 Buick La Sabre.

If You use a Metric socket and Remove the Two Silver bolts Attaching the headlight Assemble onto the metal surrounding the the lamp assembly it comes out to the front. This makes it much easier to access the bulb. Twist it counerclockwise & it comes out by pulling gently on the bulb. Then by realeasing a tab that is the socket holder bulb can be removed & replaced with a New #9006 low beam halogen light bulb. Wrap a Paper towel around the bulb & do NOT touch it with your bare hand as this wiil ruin a halogen bulb,
