Re: WHERE IS FUEL FILTER ON 90 TEMPO at?
Fuel filter on a Ford is normally located on driverside just inside the frame or on passenager side near the rear tire but before you change it put some dry gas in the gas tank make you have at least a half a tank before you add it and see is this helps the problem but if you have not changed the fuel pump in awhile it might be a good idea if you do
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Then you likely need to rep[lace the fuel pump, check the pressure at the test port on the top of the engine. If the pump is the problem you must drop the fuel tank to access it. Also change the filter if a new pump is needed.
Not likely. Only on newer vehicles that use what they call Air/Fuel ratio sensors have I seen this happen and cause misfire....not Fords though. How many miles? they have a lot of bulletins for wire harness issues. I know of one for the mass air flow sensor that can cause misfire symptoms. Is the miss consistant? all the time? worse cold than hot? Maybe you need a tune up (plugs, wires, fuel filter)....maybe an ignition coil. Need a little more info
On these vehicles, the fuel filter is located on the fuel line to the carburetor. Special care should be taken when removing and installing the fuel filter, not to bend or distort the fuel line in any way.
Remove gas cap to relieve any pressure that may be present in the fuel system.
Remove the air cleaner bonnet assembly.
Using a backup wrench on the return line fitting on the top of the fuel filter, remove the fuel line with a flare nut wrench.
Using a backup wrench on the fuel filter inlet fitting, remove the fuel line from the fuel filter with a flare nut wrench.
Using a backup wrench on the fuel filter outlet fitting, loosen the fuel line and remove the fuel filter from the engine with a flare nut wrench.
