2000 F150 cranks but won't start, like no fuel or spark

I just moved it in the driveway. Washed the outside only, and now the engine turns over, but it won't start. The red battery light is on. When the ignition is turned from off to on the gauges peg for about 2 seconds and then settle. I measured 13V at the battery and cleaned the terminals.
cranks but wont start. I drove to the bank then to the store shut off the truck went inside...came back out and won't start. checked all fuses. did notice that there was a clicking sound coming from fuse "full relay 302"
also notice that when the ignition is in the on position there is no miles on the odometer just a line of dashes"-------"
towed it home sitting in front of the house now :(

Push the "fuel reset" button located by the passanger side kick panel.(picture in owners manual) turn key TO (don't try to start) start for 10 seconds, then OFF for 10 seconds, THEN try to start as normal...

Thanks,

    READ CAREFULLY :)

Apparently the geniuses at Ford allow the starter to turn over, but some ECM somewhere was NOT getting enough voltage to start the engine. So, with a battery with low voltage (12.0 to about 13.00 volts) and/or week charge depth, the starter turns, but it won't start. In my case, moving down the driveway at idle discharged the battery just enough so some computer wouldn't let it fire u...

    THANKS.

I would change that relay it sounds like it is failing.... as for washing it... just spray the spark wires and electrical connections with wd40... that will drive out the water and oil does not conduct electricity

1985 ford f150 300 6 cylinder with electronic ignition has spark to all 6 and fuel but won't start. All fuses are good and firing order is correct.

Get a testing light and connect it to the injector wires. You can have fuel pressure, but if the injectors do not open, it will not get fuel.

Test with starting fluid to see if fuel is the problem. If you have spark and no response after adding the starting fluid, its something else. Since the timing chain has nothing to do with the crankshaft sensor sending a signal as the crankshaft turns, the top half of the engine may not be turning to move the valves. Look in any breather holes in the valve cover to see if the tappets are moving.

My 2000 honda civic wont turn over and has no spark but the ignition coil and modual are both fine

Won't turn over? Do you mean the starter won't crank the engine over?

Or the engine cranks over and won't start, and you have tested for spark when cranking and have no spark? And then you have tested the coil and ignition module, and they tested out good? Am I on the right page here? If so, maybe the next thing to check would be the crank position sensor. The ecu (computer) signals the ignitor (ignition module) when to initiate spark after it digests the signals from the crank position sensor and the cam position sensor.

1987 ford f150 shut off and will not turn over to start

If it cranks but won't start, you will need to figure out if you are dealing with a spark or fuel problem to proceed.
Check those things and let me know what you find.

2000 mercury grand marquis 4.6 Intermittent problem. 35,000. miles. Problem engine died several times wile driving. Also after car is parked from a drive will not start. Found that the fuel pump is not...

I'd have to test when problem is ongoing. When you first turn on key, no crank, you should hear the pump run for a few seconds then stop. For initial prime, the computer doesn't need rpm signal. Engine cranking, the computer needs to see rpm signal or it won't ground the fuel pump relay. W/o rpm signal, no spark at the plugs and no fuel injector pulse. I know your talking about fuel, but, when problem is ongoing, check spark and fuel injector pulse, engine cranking.
Intermittent problems are a pain, have to test when problem is ongoing.

2001 ford taurus with the 3.0 after sitting a few hours when i go to start will crank and crank and crank for what seems like ever, will start easily after that but when i go to start it for the first time...

Its not the oil, increasing temperature will thin out the oil. If it cranks easily but won't start it could be the spark plugs or the spark plug wires. When they heat up, especially if they are old, they won't perform well. Pull off one of the wires and hold it close to the plug, try to crank the engine and look for a spark. If it sparks them try removing a plug and check to see if it looks wet. If its bone dry it might not be getting fuel.

My 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan will crank but won't start.

Hi, if an engine cranks but refuses to start, it lacks ignition, fuel or compression. When the engine cranks normally but won't start, you need to check ignition, fuel and compression. Ignition is easy enough to check with a spark tester or by positioning a plug wire near a good ground. No spark? The most likely causes would be a failed ignition module, distributor pickup or crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

The engine cranks fine, but won't start. Fuel pressure gets up to about 40 lbs. when cranking. There is a spark, but it may be too weak. Any good ideas?

your fuel pressure should actually be around 180lbs to run the engine.open the breather up and spray a very small ammount of starting fluid into the breather while you're cranking it. if it does start, your problems the fuel pump,or a clogged fuel filter.if it does'nt start you can move on to crankshaft sensor.or a bad fuel pressure regulator. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Engine doesn't turn over

if your engine is carburetor type, your choke is not working. if the engine is fuel injected, the cold start device is not working.
