Head gasket or IM gasket? 05 rendezvous overheats..pushing fluid back to top of radiator or to reserve when cap is on. i think there's antifreeze on spark plug threads and maybe in cylinder for #2..ge

If it has the 3400 v6, better known as the 3.4litre, this motor was prone to head gasket failures. Antifreeze on spark plugs is a sign of head gasket failure, so is antifreeze in the oil. Have a mechanic put a dye in the cooling system that is detected with a certain light and that will tell you exactly where it's coming from. Headgasket repair is not cheap. May be easier and cheaper to replace the motor. Wish you the best!

Engine oil getting into the radiater, any suggestions

Hi
Check your oil fill cap on the bottom for any signs of white milky looking oil, pull your dipstick and do the same. If yes, then you most likely have an intake manifold gasket leak, very, very common on these cars. Solution is to replace intake manifold gaskets, and check for signs of cracked intake while apart.

I HAD THE HEAD GASKET SET CHANGED ON MY 2002 BUICK LESABRE. NOW THE CAR STARTS BUT MISSES AND KILLS. WHAT COULD POSSIBLE BE WRONG NOW?

Boy did you waste your money. Head gaskets do not go bad on these engines. You need to replace the upper intake manifold. It is leaking coolant into the combustion chamber. This is a common problem for this motor and some garages will tell you it needs head gaskets. They are wrong! I worked in a buick dealership for 20 years and have only seen one head gasket that was bad on a 3800 engine and it was not a gm original gasket.

Where is the head gasket in a 1990 buick skylark and how do you knopw if its bad?

Gasket is between cylinder head and engine block. If u have oil in the coolant or vice versa, or overheating then u most likely have a bad head gasket
