a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

if you use a phillips screwdriver and put it in the gap where the latch on the hatch holds onto the anchor plate, while pulling down on the screw driver, press or pull the door release. this should release the latch.
Hope this is of some help.

I have a 1993 Corolla that had the same problem with the "door open" light staying on. The problem turned out to be a loose screw that attaches the latch to the body of the car where the door closes. Even after tightening, periodically the light would come back on and the screw had to be retightened. After removing the screw and applying Lock-Tight (sp?), the problem never recurred. So check the "latch for the hatch" to be sure it's secured.

unplug the fuse for the navigation/radio for about 10 minutes then plug it back in. that should reset it. before you do that make sure you know the code to activate the radio and how to enter it (if it requires a code).
if you can't locate the fuse just unhook the battery for that length of time.
please take a moment to rate this solution thanks
