    i agree with the statment above . but lets check the easy stuff to whats the fluid like is the fluid at the right level check the fluid after the vech reach operating temp, how many miles since the last fluid and filter has been changed?

Sounds like it's starving for fluid. The noise you hear is probably a clogged filter. It it's been going on for a long period of time, you may have trans damage. I would recommend changing the fluid and filter and add some Lucas trans additive. I'm not much on additives but this stuff works. Hope this helps. Phil

you have a wheel bearing going out. see if it gets quieter if you turn one way or the other that will tell you what side it is on
