SOURCE: A/C Compressor
the a/c compressor won't come on if the refrigerant is low...make sure you have the proper amount of refrigerant and you have no leaks in the system.....if that's ok then check the a/c compressor cut out switch mounted on the compressor itself, you can check for continuity on the switch with an ohm-meter or resistance meter....if the switch is closed, which it should be when the compressor is running...it will measure 0(zero) ohms which it should be.....or you can measure the voltage on both sides of the switch with reference to chassis or ground...which will show 12 volts on both contacts which it should be...good luck
