SOURCE: Camry overheating

Possible stuck thermostat(located front LH side below the alternator), or faulty water pump(inside timing cover)!! The fan has no connectors because its hydraulic driver through the power steering pump(V-6 models only). You may disconnect the switch on the powersteering pump to test the fan.....with the switch unplugged rev the motor to 2200RPM and you should hear the fan increase in speed. If not check the filter (LH side of the radiator) its black with rubber tubing on each side. Check also power steering fluid. Hopefully this helps!!

The water is not hot at all but the radiator is shooting the water out of the cap, and sending the water to the resivore and makes the resivore over flow.

Sounds like you may have a bad radiator. It may be clogged and the coolant is not able to go through it causing it to come out the cap and reserve tank.

1998 cadilac overheating and with the radiator cap off the coolant bubbles out the resivor tank

have system pressure tested, and check for fan operation(should turn on with a/c) may have possible blown head gasket, would suggest having it checked with "block tester" (a device that uses blue fluid that turns yellow when exposed to combustion gasses)

Engine is overheating and I need to put coolant in, what coolant do I use and where to I put it?

A 91 should have regular green coolant. Make sure to read the label on the bottle. Sometimes it is premixed and some times you need to mix it yourself. If you have to mix it your self you will use 1/2 coolant and 1/2 water.

You can add it directly into the radiator through the radiator cap. Make sure the engine is cold before you remove the radiator cap!. Once the radiator is full you can top off the overflow container. It should be on the passenger side of the car near the battery. It will be the white bottle with a black hose going into it.

Do not mistake this with the washer bottle. The washer bottle will have the blue cap.

Water is dissappearing out of resivor, i had the water pump fixed. could it be a hole in the radiator

hi, this seams to be the head gasget this can make (mayonaize white sludge) oil and coolant mixed. putting gas pressure into the coolant. please check the spark plugs (observing the FIRING ORDER) one or more will be extra clean (know as pressure washed). to test this run engine for a few minutes and cafully take off the coolant CAP, you will need a dense large old rag (as scolding may occur). or the coolant CAP seal no good or corosion in the coolant CAP. can also be the thermostat NOT OPENING is OVERHEATING. gerry

Daughters 1999 turbo bettle started overheating today. Red light appeared on dash. water gushed out when resivor cap removed. engine [while running] would not take new water, water kept gushing back. then...

SOUND LIKE BAD THERMOSTAT REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP..BUT YOU NEED TO MIX 50/50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER IN THE COOLING SYSTEM TO RAISE BOILING TO KEEP CAR FROM OVERHEATING.

Where is termostat in hyundai elantra

It is not likely the thermostat, because the thermostat is showing that it is overheating,so it is working, you must have a coolant leak somewhere. You will have to find coolant leak. Car is overheating because it is low on coolant

Over heating

im not sure if the 2004 m45 is quite the same, but check the oil level in the pump resivore for the fan,if its the same then it has a hydralic fan.The resivore is located under the plastic cover between the engine and radiator closer to the drivers side and it looks like its for the power steering pump oil.It has 2 lines,1 goes to the radiator,or cooler in the front of the radiator, the other 1 goes to the fan .
