The coads po303 p0306 help

did you reset the codes first after new parts>???????????
misfire #3 and 6( repeats)
that is because misfire has 3 causes.
those codes really mean , Low combustion energy.!!!
and that is:
1: spark bad, ?
2: fueling wrong to those 2. (injectors or vacuum leaks)
3: compression weak on those 2.?

the ECU measures the velocity of the crank shaft, (not speed) rate of velocity, and those codes, mean its slow.
too slow means its. weak combustion.
new plugs and coil. so....
i do compression first. just hate chasing my tail.
then check for no vacuum leaks near #3 and 6 (injector base gaskets)
then do a injector balance test with my pressure gauge.

the injectors can be clogged, , partial clogged or leak fuel.
they can leak air at the base.
i check plenum vacuum too for 19" Hg vacuum steady never bouncing. if it bounces head valves, bad, or ?

Fuel system control open at 4000 rpm

misfire means, low combustion energy on #6
  1. bad spark,
  2. bad injection,
  3. bad compression
there are tests for each one.

i always check compression first. that why i dont spend a fortune
guessing. 30min.,labor , done wide open throttle, 150psi min.

i also heck the fuel pressure doing the SOP leak down test. (fSm)
then the injector balance test at same time.
finds leaking injector and clogged.
got cops?
you could have swapped coil packs COPs to see if that cured mifire.
swap any other with #6
if problem follows the coil pack COPS, then its bad.
my v6 had a 3 coil pack and cant swap just one coil. all 3 or none.

the misfire is real. you can feel it and the PCM measures it.

Is it easy to replace a coil? my engine mifires on cylyder 6..

it may not be a coil just fyi i spent plent of time tooling with mine which had a misfire on cylinder 5 and found out it was an injector and its not too easy and not too difficult (in my eyes) to replace a coil but u have to take the intake off first to get to the back three cylinders

Mifire on 1 and number 2 cylinder on my dakota 4.7 litre

When this happens you have a bad coil pack on the impacted cylinder. This is a fairly common occurrence on the Chrysler 4.7, and the fix is simple. Replace the coil packs for the impacted cylinders. Most will replace all 8 of the coil packs to avoid having to do this again, but you will be fine replacing only the ones that are implacted. You can save a few dollars and get some from an auto salvage yard, the chances of you getting a bad one are slim-to-none.

My windstar is mifiring on cylinder 5 could it be coil pack or fuel injector?

try swopping an injector from another cylinder ,if its still the same then coil ,but it could also be the valves burnt out or a chip out of the stellite coating on the valve seat

well you will have to remove the whole fuel rail at the same time there should only be two or four bolts that holds it in place remove all bolts and gentally use pry bar to pop injectors up out of holes

2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo engine light on and car skips a bit now and then. Could this be something with the transmission?

check to see what the codes are in the computer. if it is a 300 to 306 or 308 depending on the engine size.these are mifire codes whitch would cause one to cut out off and on and turn on the light.
then you can see if it is plugs, wires, injectors, ect....
