SOURCE: 1990 toyota camry

Well if it is a 4 cylinder the timing marks would be small hole in camshaft lined up with little dot on head at 12 o'clock position and the crank with the pulley on should line up with 0 on the timing indicator. If it is a 6 cyl then the marks would be- camshafts both with dots up and lined up with indicaters on heads and crank timing mark on 0 with the harmonic balancer installed. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: location of heater blower fuse for 94 toyota

this question comes up often ... Fixya could use a better search function. On my 94 from Japan ... you need to remove the glove box (3 screws across top, screw and bolt across bottom) and then the heater and alternator fuses are in a small covered fuse box approximately where the upper passenger side door hinge attaches to body.

SOURCE: have a 1993 toyota pickup 4 cyl heater blower

Hi!
To find out if your problem is the blower motor or the blower resistor or switch perform the following tests.
BLOWER RESISTOR

  • Remove resistor from vehicle or disconnect resistor wiring.
  • Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between blower resistor terminals No. 1 and 4. See Fig.
  • If continuity is not as specified, replace resistor.
1kbron_29.gif

BLOWER SPEED CONTROL SWITCH 1kbron_27.gif

Switch Position (1) Continuity Between Terminal No.
  1. OFF (1)
  2. LO 5 & 6
  3. (D) (2) 1, 5 & 6
  4. (D) (3) 2, 5 & 6
  5. HI 5, 6 & 8

(1) With switch in any position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 4 for heater control illumination. With switch in OFF position, continuity should not exist between any other terminals. (2) Circle (D) closest to LO position. (3) Circle (D) closest to HI position.

HEATER RELAY
  • Remove heater relay.
  • Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between heater relay terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 4.
  • Ensure continuity does not exist between terminals No. 4 and 5. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay.
  • Ground terminal No. 3, and apply battery voltage to terminal No. 1. Ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 4 and 5.
  • If continuity is not as specified, replace relay.
BLOWER MOTOR
  • Disconnect blower motor wiring harness connector.
  • Apply battery voltage to motor side of connector. Motor should operate smoothly.
  • If motor operation is not smooth, replace motor.

BLOWER MOTOR REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove glove box, if necessary.
  3. Disconnect blower motor and resistor connectors.
  4. Remove 3 screws and blower motor.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. See Fig.

Replace blower motor 1990 camry

I've changed 3. Two in Camry's and one in an Accord. You HAVE to remove the glovebox and everything that goes behind it. the Unit is huge. Also the carpet will come into play as you are in the final stage. Don't forget about the bolts in the dashboard. You have to open the passenger door to see it or them. Sometimes they are behind an air vent to.

Heater only runs on high

Most likely caused by faulty blower fan speed control resistor module.
This unit is usually located in the heater air ducting under the dash ( in the blower fan airflow ) - unplug and remove fixing screws to replace.

Heater on 1990 Toyota Camry mysteriously quits working after about 5 minutes of operation. I have checked the blower motor and the switch and they work fine.

If you mean the blower stops, make sure you have access to the blower. Turn on heater when blower stops check to make sure it still has power which I think it will. This will tell you that the blower motor is going bad and shutting down when it is warmed up. To repair just replace the blower motor.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor has gone bad. It is located near the blower motor it's self. Pull the glove box down and you should be able to see it.

My a/c and heater blower only works when set to high otherwise no air comes out. what is wrong

You have to replace the resistor that controls the fan speed. I have a 1990 camry and it happened to me before. The resistor is usually located under the glove compartment and held by one or two screws. If you can't find it, go to PEP Boys and get the Haynes manual for your model car...trust me, it's worth the money and you will find where it's located. Go to your Toyota dealer and buy the part..It should cost around 30 to 35 bucks. Replace and you'll be fine.
