Question about 1995 Ford Aspire
So we have a 95 ford aspire that will not start now. at first there were a few times it wouldnt start in a year now it wont start at allyou put the key in and turn it all it does is one click thats it,to the battery to get tested it still in great condition the cables that run from the battery to the start are good and we put a brand new starter on it. i dont know if this has anything to do with it but when the car was on the ramps it started up so we took car off the ramps and hasnt started since, can any one help me here.
Find and replace the ignition SWITCH, not just the key switch. On most cars it's down the steering colum actuated by a rod from the keyswitch. don-ohio

SOURCE: 95 F150 wont crank
the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.

I would first have the alternator checked by an auto electrician to ensure it is working correctly and is providing the correct volume of current. It may be faulty and when driving you will be drawing battery power instead of power from the alternator to run the electrics. This will drain the battery.
Alternators do not last forever and if you are still running the original unit it is likely to be on it's last legs and you will need a replacement unit.

SOURCE: '92 Ford Tempo won't start.
You still have two components that need checking...perhaps you have a bad battery cable?! They do corrode inside sometimes making the battery hard pressed to send the current needed to run the starter. You may get enough amps and volts to run the lights but not enough for the starter.
You can try jumping the starter with jumper cables just to see if the works. You can leave the car in park and key off since the only thing you want to do is turn the starter.
