Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
I replaced the right tail light bulb and still no tail light on the right side! I have brake lights on both sides and the turn signals work on both sides and backup lights work on both sides, but still no right tail light. I checked all the fuses for the the tail lights and fuses are all good. Can anyone please tell me where to look next? I even cleaned the contacts in the bulb holder and still no luck. I even have bake light on the right side but NO Tail Light. Can anyone please help with this problem?

lift the tailgate, and you should see 2 screws on the side of the lamp assembly. remove the screws, and remove the lamp assembly by sliding it sideways away from the vehicle. you will be able to access the bulbs & sockets once the taillamp has been released.

You have to remove the access panel on the interior side of the passenger compartment to access that connector.. it's a simple procedure after you see the wire harness and bulkhead boot.

did you check if power was reaching the socket? you will need a test light to check, I would by one, it will come in handy for years. see if power is at the socket, if so there is a bad ground, you need to verify that to not waste a lot of time guessing, if the turn signals work OK the ground is probably good and there well may be a problem but check power in the socket first.
