The porcelain spark plugs keep on cracking when the car is being used

Is the porcelain "cracking" or are they getting "carbon-tracked"? (see example photo of carbon-tracked plug below).
It is common for carbon-tracking to occur if your original plugs were carbon-tracked and you replace the plugs without replacing the wires. If the plug is carbon-tracked, the boots on the wires or the coil boots (coil-on-plug ignition) are also carbon-tracked. If you do not replace the wires or the coil boots, the ignition will still misfire by following the carbon-track on the inside of the boot. This will cause your new plugs to also be carbon-tracked within a short period of time (days or weeks).

There is no reason I can think of for the porcelain itself to actually crack other than faulty installation techniques or possibly, cold liquids getting poured on extremely hot plugs.

How Change Spark Plugs on a hummer the leads wont come off is there trick to it or just brute force need

Use a spark plug boot tool. It will keep you from accidentaly seperating the plug wires from the boot. Make sure to pull just the boot and not the wire.

I need to change the plugs on an 05 Trailblazer what is the best way to do it?

Remove the rubber boot carefully. Might want to grab ahold of the boot and turn in back and forth to break it free abit then pull the boot off. 5/8 deep socket with the spark plug insert will help keep the plug in the socket as you pull it out.

When i turn the key the lights come on but the car wont start why is that? i tried to get a boost and while the boost is occuring car lights come on but car still wont start and when the boost is off car...

sounds like you have a bad starter. If you can see the starter have someone bang on it while you turn the key. it might start. if it does you still need to replace the starter. Make sure the cables going to the starter are clean and tight.

I would like to know how to change the spark

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE CHANGE SPARK PLUGS WHEN ENGINE IS COOL.IF YOU CHANGE THEM WHILE ENGINE IS HOT YOU COULD DAMAGE THE ALUMINUM HEADS OR CAUSE DISTORTION.TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS YOU NEED A SPARK PLUG SOCKET.A TORQUE WRENCH.ITS NOT MANDATORY.BUT IT WILL KEEP YOU FROM OVER TIGHTEN SPARK PLUGS.YOU NEED A 3/8 RATCHET AND EXTENSION.YOU ALSO NEED A SPARK PLUG GAP GAUGE.AND SPARK PLUG BOOT PULLER.YOU ALSO NEED SOME ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND.TO PREVENT DAMAGE THREADS WHEN INSTALLING THE SPARK PLUGS.

My Expedition is idleing extremely rough. I just changed the spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter and no codes are coming up. It has 97000 miles and had maintained proper maintenance. Any ideas???

Was it doing this before you changed the plugs? This is coil over plugs correct? Double check you pugs and if it is coil over be sure to use die-eletric grease on the spark plug boots. Good Luck

Number 2 spark plug wire keeps popping off spark plug

First, make sure the spark plug is in tight and not cross threaded (take it and put back in). If the plug is loose, pressure comes out of the cylinder and pushed the wire off.

Second, push the spark plug boot on and massage the air out of the boot.

Hope this helps.

You have to remove the parts that are in the way, then lay on top of the engine to get at the plugs, you will need a good spark plug boot removal tool as well or you will tear the plug boots, the plugs don't need changing until 100,000 miles.
