Question about 1991 Chevrolet Caprice
Car wont start but if i put gas n the injectors it starts then dies
You should be able to hear te pump(in the tank) run for 2 seconds when you turn the key to "run".Ifnot, locate the plug at the sender unit for the fuel tank(not sure if you will need to lower the tank to do this). You should get 12v on the(possibly purple) wire when you turn the key to run.If you do,then the pump is most likely the trouble.(Try swapping the fuel pump relay with one of the others-like the A/C compressor relay, before you do all of this-highly unlikely a bad relay, but not impossible).

Have you tried to pull any DTC codes. Here is a link for you so you can pull some codes, but you may have a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM) it's around $40.00 at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instruction to replacing it with common tools. The ICM is common to go bad after a few years due to time and corrosion. It's location is under the rotor in the distributor, as it heats up if fails or any changes in the engine speed. Check the wires to make sure there are no damages. Keep me posted be glad the help. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/
