Front console window switch lights staying on.

Hello, have a 1993 E34 525i,having a problem with the front console window switch assembly, lights staying on,also rear left and right window switch lights don`t come on at all. There is power to all window switchs as the power windows are working.Replaced the General & Relay Modules & console switch itself, but to no avail.I do have a Bentley manual but can`t find any reference to the console lights in interior lights/illumination wiring diagram,One other thing i have noticed is when i remove fuse 47 in the rear power box and then replace it,the lights will stay off for about a minute and then come back on,you can hear the Electric power protection relay kick in when they come on. Would be great if can help.

SOURCE: Changed bulb and checked fuses, still not working

The switch that controls the dip beam can be worn out or broken or the wiring can have a problem. Unless the car has been wrecked and repaired chances are it is the switch.

SOURCE: 1993 318i windows and sunroof appear to have no power

I have a 1993 bmw 318i and the same problem..no power to the windows or sunroof and no lights on any of the window or sunroof switches. The ANSWER is take the kick panel of the driver side locate the blue relay next to the orange or brown relay.Take the blue relay out and either replace it or take the blue cap off the relay and check the solder to all pins. There is one or more pins where the solder has crack..just buy a soldering gun and some solder .015 diameter and re solder all the cracked solder on the pins and it is back to normal.

Why r my tail lights staying on my 1993 gmc Sierra

Are you sure it is the tail lights and not the brake lights? If the park lights are staying on, the front should be on as well in most cases. If it is the brake lights staying on, suspect a faulty brake light switch located at the brake pedal

I'd be willing to bet your dash lights don't work either when you turn the headlight on.change the headlight switch, it has a short, it's only about 11 dollars at advance auto, and is fairly easy to replace. my 93 chevy did same thing, changed headlight switch, problem solved

My passenger window is stuck up and my 2 back windows fall down and wont roll up

The regulators need replaced in the back ones the front one could be a window motor or a bad switch. Unplug the window motors and hook them up directly to a battery supply of 12 volt power and see if they go up and down. If the motor runs and the track doesnt the cable is broken. If the front window motor doesnt move replace the regulator and motor assembly
