Question about 2007 Lexus ES 350
Tried jump starting the battery and that did not work...lights work inside and out .... horn sounds but not very loudly

Take your fob and hold it directly against the dash beside the start button for about ten seconds. Watch to see if the green light comes on. Then try the button. If it fails try your spare key same way. You likely have a low battery in the fob.

look in your glove box to see if you accidently hit the trunk valet switch. if so, then turn it back on and your trunk should open.

If your is exhibiting the same signs as a dead battery it really sounds like your alternator is bad. If you are handy, you can remove the alternator and take it to an autoparts store like autozone and they will test it for you. This is not a hard job to do, usually 2 electrical connections, 3-5 mounting bolts and you have to pop the belt off. Just reverse it to install a new one. Good luck! - Nick

check pep boys looking for a jumper cable with lighter plugs on each end...plug into your plug and then into another vehicle with good lighter plug..
